Job description

We are looking for a reliable Estonian–English translator/interpreter to assist during an employment-related legal proceeding in Tallinn.

The translator will provide consecutive interpretation between Estonian and English, helping with communication between the English-speaking participant and the Estonian-speaking officials/participants during the proceeding.

Requirements

Fluent in Estonian and English, both spoken and understood.

Able to interpret accurately and clearly between Estonian and English.

Good understanding of legal and employment-related terminology.

Previous experience with legal, employment, administrative, or official proceedings is an advantage.

Professional, neutral and discreet.

Able to remain attentive and translate accurately throughout the proceeding.

Punctuality is essential.

Important information

The proceeding starts promptly at 09:00 on 10 September 2026.

The selected translator must arrive at the location at least 15 minutes before the start time (by 08:45).

Because this is a scheduled legal proceeding, last-minute cancellation is not acceptable except in a genuine emergency.

The expected duration is 1–2 hours. If the proceeding takes longer than expected, the additional time will be paid at the same €15/hour rate.

The translator is expected to provide professional and impartial interpretation and maintain confidentiality regarding the matters discussed.
